In the 70s, this 100% silk dress, in a delicious bright berry pink, was lovingly hand beaded in India, with thousands of shimmering pink sequins, white bugle beads, and tiny faux pearls.
The motif is Abstract with the sequins forming what we call “Amoeba,” while the white beading creates one of our favourites, the “Honeycomb” effect, as well as lines and abstract shapes, all accented by tiny seed pearls.
The dress is a versatile Tunic cut, with straight, long sleeves, a very deep Plunge neckline, and falls to Tea length on most.
Wear this dress flowing as a tunic, with sandals, or strappy heels.
Wear with a sash, or belt, for a form enhancing look – you can this way also shorten the length – something of a Blouson top and Cocktail skirt; Mini length if you happen to have longer legs!
As always, you can wear this dress with Chucks.
